Don't overlook their septic system services like I almost did!  These guys are great, fair, and reasonably priced.  I almost overlooked them when I was looking for someone to give me help and advice on my septic tank and system.  However I read their reviews and decided to call (my wife called to ask questions).  Brothers Dan and John did a great job...John answered all her questions and advised us NOT to dig up our lids until they had a chance to visit and check things out.  Dan came out, surveyed and analyzed our issues...slow drainage and blockage from time to time.  He accurately diagnosed the problem and laid out a solution that was going to save us $ and time.  He and John came out the next day w Nick, they tackled the problem efficiently and correctly at a very reasonable price!  I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat for all my septic AND landscaping needs where I need their services.  I won't go anywhere else.  Before you do anything (1) check out their website and (2) call them and give them a shot...you will be glad you did!customers raving about you on social media? When we had issues with our "swamp" situation behind our shelter, he spent two days figuring out the problem and fixing this leak that we have had for close to forever! Amazing service, very knowledgeable, and determined to help solve our problem!! We will absolutely use his service again in the future. Thank you very much!

We don’t often think about the plumbing in our homes unless there is a problem. Unfortunately, if a problem has arisen, we typically need help, and fast. The majority of a home’s plumbing is out of sight. We often don’t realize that there is a problem until it has developed into a major concern.

At CPI Plumbing Inc. we are here to assist you with all your plumbing needs, from installations to repairs, minor drips to major leaks.  We have compiled the list below to give you answers to the top 10 most frequently asked plumbing questions. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our team at CPI Plumbing Inc. for more info and assistance with all your plumbing needs.

Why does my toilet continue to run until I jiggle the handle?

Often times, the handle gets stuck. This causes the flapper to remain open.  When the flapper is open, water will continue to flow into the bowl. Try tightening, oiling, or replacing the handle.

My tub is clogged. I have tried a plunger and chemical drain cleaners. What else can I do to unclog the drain?

For stubborn clogs, try using a snake. Feed the snake down the drain carefully to dislodge the clog and remove the blockage. but many times you need professional help, and we’re only a phone call away 24-7-365 at (951)674-3286.  We can help remove the clog,  and clean out your shower or tub drain.

The water isn’t draining out of my dishwasher. Can I do anything to resolve the problem before calling a plumber?

Sometimes it is possible to fix the problem yourself, but many times you need professional help, and we’re only a phone call away 24-7-365 at (951)674-3286.  We can help remove the clog, clean out the strainer basket,  and for the air hose (which vents the dishwasher) we can remove any food buildup or debris.  These are the easy steps, then we go further to resolve the plumbing issue to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

My garbage disposal stopped working. What do I do?

Turn the disposal off, and disconnect from power. Check to see if anything is lodged in the disposal. Sometimes, utensils or other small objects fall in. If there is no blockage, plug it back in and reset. Also make sure to check your breaker. If this doesn’t fix it, it’s time to call a plumber.

What causes a faucet to leak?

The most common cause of faucet leaks is a failed gasket, o-ring, or valve. This is often an easy fix. Most of the time, those parts can simply be replaced without replacing the whole faucet.

My water bill keeps going up, but I do not think we have a leak. What’s going on?

You may have a silent or hidden leak. This happens often in toilets. Try putting food coloring in the tank of your toilet. Do not use the toilet for 1 hour. After an hour, if there is color in the bowl, you have a leak.

What are the benefits of a tankless hot water heater?

Tankless hot water heaters are great because they never run out of hot water. A storage tank hot water has a limited capacity (whatever the size of the tank), while a tankless can heat unlimited amounts as it passes through the system. Additionally tankless hot water heaters save you money, since you are only heating the water you use, not the amount that is sitting in the tank.  Plus depending on your water or gas utility there may be cash rebates available for switching to eligible tankless water heaters

Why do my pipes rattle and make noise?

This can be caused by unsecured pipes. When pipes are not properly supported, they often move and bump against floor joists as water flows through them.

How do I avoid frozen pipes?

For those of you that are in the mountain communities or experience occasional freezing.

Insulating your pipes is the best way to prevent them from freezing. If you cannot access your pipes to insulate them, leave the water on a slow drip on very cold nights, to keep water flowing and prevent freezing.

What uses the most water in my home?

While it may seem that showers or baths use large amounts of water, the toilet typically uses the most water in the home. This is because used most frequently. Keep your water bill low by ensuring that all toilets are running properly, with no leaks.
